Thanksgiving from the heart chakra. While we associate Thanksgiving with feasting, merriment and family, the spirit of Thanksgiving comes from the heart.   It is a commemoration of the kindness of Native Americans, who shared their knowledge of living off the land, sharing their food and survival skills with the starving white skinned people so woefully inept at living in nature. FABULOUS OCEAN JASPER

ie, Orbicular Jasper   This amazing stone from Mother Earth reminds me of microbes one might see under a microscope.  It is a kind of jasper and agate mix that displays a unique pattern of colored circles and dots that appear to float across a deep green background. Our latest addition to our collection are emeralds. They are perfect for the heart chakra.  The finest emeralds come from Columbia and Boliva and this rare green stone continues to climb in value.  A fine half carat emerald (about 1/16" across) can range from hundreds to thousands of dollars.  Even lesser quality emeralds are expensive and hard to find.  The emerald market is highly controlled, and emeralds are often dyed or oiled to make them look better.  When I came across several strands of good quality natural emeralds at the last gem show I attended, I asked the price, knowing...
