Description:  Howlite is actually white turquoise.  It is soft and porous and is often dyed in bright colors.  Ours is not.  It is high quality natural white howlite veins of deep gray running through it.  It has been faceted and has a surprisingly high polish.  I only wish I had gotten more of it, but it was one of those rare finds and there was no more to be had.  We have paired it with faceted black spinel.  There are only a few pieces of this elegant crown chakra stone, so if you like it, don't wait.

The seventh chakra is called the crown chakra.  It is symbolized by a lotus flower with a thousand petals resembling  a crown.  In this chakra, bodily concerns are left behind and the focus of energy resides in the space just above the head.  It is interesting to note that the seventh chakra hovers in the same area as a halo.  Considered to be the gateway to the universe, the crown chakra holds our desire to reach beyond our physical selves in the search for our creator and true enlightenment.
